The Arenal Lake is well known as the largest man-made fresh water lake in Central America, in addition to its depths of up to 60 meters burying the towns of Tronadora and Nuevo Arenal. Come discover this impressive lake and enjoy the contact with nature while you kayak.
After a 20 minute drive to the dam we will receive some safety instructions before beginning to paddle to the tower which controls the lake’s water level. We will also learn about the importance of the lake in the country’s economy and as the generator for more than 30% of the country’s electricity.
We will spend two hours observing the amazing panoramic views of the mighty Arenal Volcano in addition to spotting monkeys, caiman, large groups of aquatic birds, and more on the different small islands that are found along the way. After finishing paddling, we will stop to enjoy some fresh fruit and a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters.
Our tour includes all the necessary safety considerations like professional guides trained, a safety boat to accompany the group, to make sure you are all safe and enjoy the day.
